SCAPE Social Enterprise Database
Securing social value is now a national policy imperative in procurement consideration, first introduced by the Social Value Act and as of January 2021, a mandated requirement in central government funded public sector projects.
By nature of being purpose driven and established to tackle societal challenges, the Social Enterprise sector can play a key role in enabling public sector spend, to create valued outcomes.
To enable and support the built environment sector to better engage with Social Enterprises across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, we are pleased to announce that we have submitted a Contract Notice to procure a digital solution to develop and support the management of a SCAPE Social Enterprise Database.
Overview of requirements
The successful bidder will establish a web-based, digital solution, accessible to the whole built environment sector and not limited to SCAPE’s clients and delivery partners. The solution will act as a smart and connected online directory of Social Enterprises, enabling construction sector buyers to locally search and find suitable services for their projects.
The proposed contract will be for two years with an option to extend for a period, or periods totalling no more than a further two years (2+1+1).
We will look to award a single bidder.
