Reflecting on 2021 #TeamSCAPE

We all recognise the importance for building back better, smarter and greener; and hopefully that collaboration will continue as we move forward throughout 2022.

In the last year, we launched the next generation of SCAPE Consultancy and SCAPE Construction frameworks, and are proud to work with 25 of the leading construction, consultancy and civil engineering organisations from across the industry as our delivery partners. We have also lobbied for change in procurement legislation; pledged to increase our efforts to tackle unethical supply chain practices and boost employment opportunities for survivors of modern slavery, and collaborated with industry to produce research that places net zero carbon above project cost and at the heart of design. Additionally, through developing and launching The Social Partnership Portal in partnership with Local Supply Chain (LSC) and 25 leading construction companies, we've made access to socially and environmentally focused and accredited suppliers easier for industry than ever before.

Social value is more than the metrics, it's about the quality of the outcomes we deliver for our clients and the local communities in which we live and work. That's why I'm also pleased to share with you our Considerate Constructors Score, reflecting the respect our delivery partners show on each project for the local communities in which they work.
