Local authorities and other public sector bodies have been at the heart of the UK’s response to COVID-19, providing essential services, protecting the vulnerable and keeping local parks and other facilities running.

As we look to the future, they are uniquely positioned to help kickstart our economic and social recovery, positively shaping how we are going to “Build Back Better” and responding to the public’s evolving expectations in a post-pandemic world.

Local authorities and other public sector bodies will do this in partnership with the construction and infrastructure industry, which stands ready to support and advise them with the creation of sustainable infrastructure, as they design and redefine how communities operate.

This report has been created in partnership with our Civil Engineering framework partner Balfour Beatty. Together, we are helping clients across the UK to deliver stronger, more sustainable project outcomes for the community.
